American International School Dhaka (AISD)
This might be the best international school in Dhaka, at least in term of the facilities as far as I can see and from what I heard. The school located in the embassies neighborhood, Baridhara. Built in a spacious ground and equipped with swimming pool, tennis court, soccer field, labs, libraries etc. Providing classes from Pre-Kindergarten up to Grade 12 and only for expatriate children.I think almost any kind of facilities you are dreaming for your children to have or your children want, are available here. But, I was knocked down by the requested fees, from admission fee to registration, annual and tuition fees for a year for grade-9 (as our daughter will be) will cost approximately 30,000 USD. Well, there is no way such humanitarian workers like us (my husband & I) can send our kid to this school. This one is almost as big as the American school but not as spacious as and this school is quite well equipped with facilities as well. The school is accommodating expatriate children as well as local children. Most of rich Bangladeshis send their children here. This school provides classes for children from 2 years old up to Grade 12. The registration fee, tuition etc for Grade-9 for a year will cost approximately 20,000 USD. Grace International School (ISD)
This is a Christian base school that follow English National Curriculum provided only for expatriate Children. However, children of all religions are welcomed but parent are asked to understand that their Children will hear Christian idea shared. Further information on this school will be provided later as I have a plan to visit this school on Monday (on 30/07/2012).
